The TCB '30s jacket is an authentic reproduction of the iconic Vintage Levi's 506XX (Type I) jacket, which made its debut in the early 1900s, distinguished by its 506XX lot number. This modern interpretation has been thoughtfully adjusted to seamlessly integrate into your everyday wardrobe, featuring a slimmer chest, extended dress length, and narrower armholes. Crafted from premium unsanforized 12.5 oz Memphis cotton fabric, every aspect of this jacket, from the material selection to the meticulous sewing and silhouette, reflects a commitment to quality.
The jacket boasts a single front pocket, double needle-stitched construction, a distinctive deerskin leather patch, a two-prong cinch back, and iron buttons designed to develop a unique patina over time, enhancing the overall character of the garment.
The proprietary TCB unsanforized denim used in this jacket is composed of 100% Memphis cotton, rope-dyed, making it the ideal lightweight fabric for a spring-summer denim jacket. Both the denim fabric and the jacket itself are expertly crafted in Kojima by skilled Japanese denim artisans.
Despite being a Japanese reproduction, we find the sizing of this jacketto be more Western than Japanese. If you usually wear a size M in American jackets, you'll find a suitable fit with this jacket in size 40 (M). Anyway, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit. This jacket is semi-sanforized but have been pre-washed, so there will be no further shrinkage.
TCB (which stands for Two Cats Brand or Taking Care of Business) is a Japanese label founded in Kojima by Hajime Inoue in 2012. It specializes in reproductions of the classic American denim icons produced from the 1920s to the 1960s. Among his garments, we can find some of the highest-quality reproductions we have ever seen, made in his own workshop on sewing machines more than a hundred years.
